The first Hellenic radio telescope ThermopYlae. The first radio telescope in Greece and at the southernmost end of Europe is currently being created as part of a research collaboration involving HERON LAB from Department of Physics of University of Thessaly (PI Dr. Giorgos Veldes) and School of Science and Technology of Hellenic Open University (PI Dr. Nectaria Gizani).
The HERON LAB collaborates with the teams from the Dept. of Physics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Dept. of Physics of the University of Ioannina in the ARTEMIS/JLS Project.
